Focusing on community and bringing neighbors together. When you run or elect someone to be a board member of your neighborhood association, you are allowing them to manage your neighborhood affairs on your behalf. Your Board members are residents who volunteer their time because they feel they can make a difference and they have an invested interest in maintaining a healthy neighborhood too. So you might say, they are looking out for you! Money well spent ! It is important for residents to know that if you do not like something about the neighborhood, you need to let your Board members know. It is through participation that Together Everyone Achieve More. TEAM Not everyone has the time, to get involved but most everyone wants the advantages of being kept informed on whats going on. As a registered member you will be kept informed whether you are at the meetings or not and most importantly you are eligible to vote. Your Vote Counts! Did you know that if you wanted to vote in November, you need 90 days prior membership. So if you count backwards from November you are at August. But you can not register in July-August because the board members have those months off. So you need to register before May-June... Then Your Vote Counts in November. Once you join, you will receive a membership card. If you don't receive your membership card Let Us Know. By becoming a registered resident member, your funding helps your neighborhood association in building a stronger healthier neighborhood. Together Everyone Achieves More. TEAM
Your NANA Membership card discounts begin with NANA sponsored events. Your local neighborhood businesses are giving discounts to NANA members, because they know that the North Andrews Neighborhood Association is looking out for them too. (The only proof they need is your NANA Membership card) So the next time you are shopping locally ask if that business is giving NANA discounts. If so, then make sure you show your support by re-visiting them again and again. If not, then maybe they are new to NANA? Other discounts include NANA sponsored events... |
